Place your bets on IZOD Indycars Championship Race

Bookmark and Share When the 2011 IZOD Indycars schedule was announced there was one last thing to arrange.
That was the location of last round race and that question remained a puzzle until INDYCAR CEO Randy Bernard announced that the race will finally take place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

However, that was only the easy part of the announcement as the press conference had already a famous “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign as the backdrop. Bernard bigger surprise was the announcement that apart form the championship decider, INDYCAR will also welcome 5 top drivers from other racing series from all over the world to a high-stakes shootout on the high-banked Vegas oval race.
Bernard announced:
“We showcase our drivers as being the very best, fastest and most versatile in the world and we are putting our money where our mouth is. If any race car driver in the world outside of the IZOD IndyCar Series can win the Vegas race, we will give you $5 million. We will accept five entries for this challenge, with entrants being determined by a selection committee by mid-summer."

Next question that arises is obviously who will actually be that 5 top drivers that will accept the $5m challenge? Could it be CART and F1 champion Jacques Villeneuve? Could it be the 4-time CART champion Sebastien Bourdais in his way back to the series? Could it be another F1 driver although the tough F1 schedule? Could it be a NASCAR Sprint Cup driver like Tony Stewart, Juan Pablo Montoya or Jeff Gordon? Could it be a WRC driver like Sebastien Loeb?
