Racing Discipline for B. Senna ?

Bookmark and Share According to Germany's Auto Bild Motorsport the real reason for B. Senna's subsitution with HRT's reserve driver Sakon Yamamoto at the British Grand Prix was not a sponsoring issue but a critical email about team's management and performance that was wrongly sent to HRT's team manager Kollin Colles.

In the absence of an adequate alternative explanation by the team, it had been highly speculated that the Brazilian was replaced due to funding problems, with Sakon Yamamoto reporting that has brought $5m in the team.

However, HRT announced that Senna will be back in the car at Hockenheim and beyond - an indication that there is more to the story.
But, the report from Germany's Auto Bild Motorsport implies that Senna's substitution was actually a disciplinary action that was followed after the Brazilian has composed an email that was highly critical of the struggling Spanish team's boss Colin Kolles and his management style - and then accidentally sent it to him instead of another recipient.

Fascinatingly, it was highly rumored that originally Karun Chandhok was closer to lose his race seat in Britain, due to late sponsor payments. Geoff Willis had been also critical in the past about HRT's performance and he might have been the actual recipient of the mail.
If rumors are valid then the story definitely reminds the controversial mail exchange between Spanish Fernando Alonso and Pedro De la Rosa in 2007 when both had been at McLaren's driving team and it's a good indication that we should be very careful who is the real complaint recipient about our boss behaviour.
