A fine of this magnitude is not really any great punishment for a multi-million dollar organization but it is a clear message to everyone that similar behavior is NOT going to be tolerated in the future. Furthermore, the verdict might have further consequences at team's international image and been considered as an obvious cheater for one more time making climate in the Italian team too heavy, not only for either Fernando Alonso or Felipe Massa, but for the whole team. It is believed that the latest incident would affects Ferrari's operation for the rest of the season and changes inside the team might not be inevitable.....
For sure, Fernando Alonso is found once again in the middle of a F1 scandal and many start wondering if its just another accident.....
Controversial Fernando Alonso who had been full of complaints about not having a fair treatment over his competitors during the 2010 season and has been involved somehow in the majority of F1 scandals within the latest years (stepneygate, crashgate etc) commented:
"We tried to do our race, we tried to do as good as we can. We are professional drivers and we try to work as a team and we try to do the best we can every day not only here on the track but in the race and factory, preparing the races. Again I think we have been doing a good job in the last couple of races, finally we got a strong Sunday with a strong result. I think we are happy with this, all the other things it is more for you if you want to write all these things."
As a remark, it is obvious that Alonso is happy being in a friendly professional and co-operative environment only when he is able to take full advantage of it. Fair F1 winners are so rare anymore in F1.
